ASUS R9 390 Vram or GPU error.

I have recently had to replace one of the GPU fans and thermal paste on my ASUS R9 390 8GB Graphics card, since doing this on the boot logo of the motherboard I get the distorted graphics of below and if left windows 10 goes into auto repair mode. Any idea to narrow down the fault that is causing this. Its the same if I try the graphics card on another machine too.
