Brother Scan to PC not working

I spent a good part of the day trying to get the button on the printer to scan to a specific computer. It lists the computer but then it just times out trying to send the scan. Works fine scanning from the computer though.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled/force removed, Brothers unistaller, etc. and I still get the same results.

Also when I install the full software package the Control Software doesnt show up, but it thinks its installed as I cant reinstall it, only repair which does nothing.

Its Windows 11 and a MFC-L2750DW
I have tried wireless and wired. (not usb as its too far away.)
Worked fine on the old computer running W10, but the driver says it supports windows 11.

Im leaving on vacation saturday morning, would love to get this fixed before then.

Any suggestions?

Could be firewall, but that should be set during the install process.

Check that when it lists the computer on the machine that it has the right IP address. Sometimes a saved device to scan to wont update the IP.

I have had nothing but problems with Scan-to-Windows devices in Windows 10. For the most part I just put the Windows Fax and Scan app icon on the Taskbar and ask them to use that instead.

Are you using and IP or machine name for locating the machine?
