[SOLVED] Dell laptop doesn't recognize Dell AC adapter

I've expressed my frustrations with Dell in the past. Good hardware but they don't get my recommendation except for business equipment.

Most of the desktops I sell are Dell business grade machines, but silly stuff like this AC adapter problem is a deal breaker for me with the laptops.

Most of the desktops I sell are Dell business grade machines, but silly stuff like this AC adapter problem is a deal breaker for me with the laptops.

It's a throw-back to the early days when their desktop PCs didn't use standard power supplies as the pinouts were different so it HAD to be Dell proprietary ($$$) replacement parts. Dell went with RAMBUS (again $$$) even when the standard was clearly DDR. They've continued to shoot themselves in the foot and even reload to do it again - pffft!
