Done-For-You Newsletter Content for Techs

I hope Bryce doesn't mind, but here is a sample....

I'm kidding of course!! I signed up and I think the content is great!! You get a LOT of content for the price and it's good stuff.

@Slaters Kustum Machines, it may be that "residential" targeted articles could pretty easily be repurposed as "for your staff" by business customers.

We don't support their staff either......
I'd certainly be more likely to consider this if there were a "business only" option. Paying for residentially targeted articles is just wasteful for me.

One thing I thought about after that post was it wouldn't hurt to get 4 newsletters. It gives you more to choose from each month. Even if you don't use them all.

I support my clients' staff, at least as far as "here's some education on why you should not open attachments from unknown senders, or from senders that you're not expecting something from, or where the message doesn't seem to be for you (e.g. all the 'disputing your charges' spam/phishing/virus messages)" and "Here are tips for staying safe online," because people who'd do uninformed things at home will do uninformed things in the office as well - and then it is my problem.

That's just splitting hairs there, though. What you're quoting is an theoretical article that can apply to either marketplace. Perhaps no equally but definitely both. If I'm paying for content for my clients, the pro version, I want 4 articles that are definitely business focused not "How to set up a free GMail account" for instance or "How to store all your photos online for FREE". See? I'd want them to be a mix of business "user" and business "management" material.

I'm curious. No one has asked the important question. Are these newsletters written by who? Or copy pasted with some rewording like 99% of the newsletters out there? Don't bash me, but I had to ask.

Very nice product, but damn me and my clients are french !

How about half the price for so I get the "ideas" and form of the newsletter ?!?
I'm serious...I think.

Great question which gives me an opportunity to explain the product and development in greater detail.
The writing is not done by me as I got someone who is a far greater writer than I. They are a computer technician who does a fair bit of sales copy writing work.

It took me a long time to find the perfect writer for these newsletters as techies tend to be more technically minded, and writers tend to be more creative minded. I had to find someone in the middle. The awesome thing about this writer is that they are also SALES copy writer, they know how to write to CONVERT.

In sales copy writing, you need to initally grab attention, hold it so they read the entire article, educate them on the dangers/need/wants and then subtlely let them know that if they need someone to setup-this-backup/protect-from-ransomware etc.. you can help.

I surveyed my past Technibble customers asking them a variety of questions including "What do you want to educate your customer about?". I chose the best topics out of those, spoke to the writer about the direction I want to go with it and they did the rest.

During the development I studied the optimial tone, the optimal length and the optimial frequency. I also spent a lot of time experimenting with optimal layouts (especially for the print version. What fonts are best for reading in print, what layouts, how does it look in black and white etc..).
As someone with a site like Technibble and a large readership/subscribership, I have this kind of data because I optimize Technibble content in the same way and have been doing it since 2006

There are other services out there, there are others that "reword like 99% of the newsletters out there". These are different. They are written by someone who knows how to write to convert, with the research/formed/designed by me, someone with 10 years experience in getting people to read my newsletters.

I'd also like to see a sample or two if possible.
And will the content be relavent to us here in New Zealand?
The topics arent location specific. For the print version however, there is a US Letter version (for US and Canada) and an A4 version (for the UK, Australia and of course, New Zealand).

This was something I did a bunch of research on. 1 a month was too little, one a week was too much. Bi-weekly was just right for this sort of promotion so thats why there are 2 per month.

The current topics in the residential edition are about having different passwords for each site (explaining whats happening with sites getting compromised like MySpace/LinkedIn etc.., hackers using those details to log into other things etc..) and an SSD promotion (an SSD breathes new life into an aging computer).

There wont ever be any lame topics like "How to setup a free Gmail account".

A little while ago, I surveyed my customers (anyone who spent any amount with me) and asked them what percentage of their customers are residential, what percentage are business. Only 8% of them were 100% business. Most were a mix in between. I created the packages based on that most business users will want some residential content. You might be in that 8%.

Does it cover anything about how to set up a system for those different passwords? Anything from the simple "use the first and last letters of the domain as the first and last letters of the password" to "Use a password manager."

hey Bryce I just last week preliminary hired someone to write these for me. If possible I would like to also see a sample. Im pretty sure I will get from your product what Im looking for

Would be grateful for samples please for both residential and business. Thanks
