That's quite a bit of data to move.Started a backup job on Sunday 20th August 2018 at 2.38pm and it's now 10.12am on Wednesday 22nd August.
Still got 250 GB to back up!
EPIC!

You really should upgrade your 5 1/4 inch drive though...It's on my own system. Drive very healthy and not that old. just setup a new game system (i7 8700, 16GB ram, 2TB hdd, MSI B360 Mortar mobo) for myself and transferring data to backup drive.
If it fails I don't really care as I have everything I need backed up to several other places including cloud.
Just didn't want to have to download all the Steam games again!![]()
Yes you're right! So I've been looking for a 250MB Zip drive......You really should upgrade your 5 1/4 inch drive though...
Well, I was thinking about a dying drive but not the external. Happens. Thanks for posting back!Hey @fabs The backup failed but only because the backup drive died on the operating table.
I sent the log with the error report when the backup completed. Probably a waste of time because it wasn't Fabs Autobackup that failed!
Nevermind, I transferred everything I needed manually (slow day!) and all that's left is to copy the entire Steam folder (all 678GB of it!) from the old drive (not the failed one) to the new.
I have done this in the past. Steam is smart enough to see the "Steam" folder in Program Filesx86 and just reinstall the missing bits!
Saves a ton of time and bandwidth.![]()
I have a suspicious feeling he will have an announcement in the near future about product updates. Just a hunch. @fabsHey Fabs, Have you looked at Delphi 10.2 Community Edition? It would appear that it includes the 64 bit compiler. I'm thinking of having a look myself.
Not such a big deal. Details have to be polished but that would not change the way I workI have a suspicious feeling he will have an announcement in the near future about product updates. Just a hunch. @fabs
Did I miss something? Not such a big deal. Details have to be polished but that would not change the way I work![]()
All I can say so far is that I am going to work with Malwarebytes. Stay tunedDid I miss something?
That can go both ways for us users. Time will tell. But for @fab's it is a big break for him good work and congrats. All I can say so far is that I am going to work with Malwarebytes. Stay tuned
Hey, well done! That's awesome! As a developer? All I can say so far is that I am going to work with Malwarebytes. Stay tuned
No, I stay independant. Just a collaboration between usHey, well done! That's awesome! As a developer?
Well I would fully expect development on Autobackup to slow down for a little while, while Fabs finds his routine. But, from my own experience as a full time developer, it was still fun to come home in the evening and work on my own projects. That can go both ways for us users. Time will tell. But for @fab's it is a big break for him good work and congrats.
Ah, see, that's even betterNo, I stay independant. Just a collaboration between us
