The Worldwide IT Outage Isn't Funny, but the Memes Sure Are

Many are hilarious. But I still don't get why people in the IT world, who are clearly the source of most of these, insist on producing memes that basically state that Linux and MacOS cannot be hit in exactly the same way as Windows was. Both can.

Linux is trickier because of a number of factors, and the myriad distros being among those.

MacOS is a big ol' "nothingburger" if you're looking for maximum bang for your nefarious hacking buck. If you're trying to cast the widest net, that means casting it for Windows.

But this wasn't even a nefarious actor, just a tragic mistake that should never have happened that had the same effect a nefarious actor might want.
