It sometimes saddens me, just a tiny bit, to realize just how much many of these bits require one to be "of a certain age" to "get" them.

Of course, that's true of all cultural references, pop culture or otherwise. I'm currently in rehearsals for a production of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None and one of the case members is around 20 and this is her first show, ever. Someone else said they were about to audition for a production of The Music Man and she asked, what's The Music Man?! I said that she's not only young, but she's not a theater kid, either. Not knowing The Music Man in the theatrical community is trouble, With a capital "T" and that rhymes with "P" and that stands for pool!!

This is so me. I get up and head in the direction of the thing I wanted or needed, then forget after a couple steps. I keep heading in that direction, hoping something will jog my memory and, when it doesn't I go back to where I was. Soon as I sit down, I remember what it was and go get it before I forget again...... lol
