OMG, I remember back in 2009 or 2010, I had a Government job where I sat in a small office with nothing to do and nobody bothering me all day. I found the Chronicles of George and it made for such an awesome day.
That was back when I would read the Engrish Funy, Workplace Fails, etc.

I think this whole target-specific-ridicule humor idea should be retired. Would you post this "joke" if the target were people of color? people who were obese? people of polish descent? This isn't about being politically correct. It's about being a decent human being. Humor can be had without it being at the expense of others. That ship has left the harbour (and hopefully sunk).

I found it funny, I also found another version that I heard previously, were a man was the butt of the joke, funny also.
As a fat Irish male, I have no problem with fat jokes, Irish jokes or men jokes. Providing they are lighthearted, Its just a bit of fun IMO.

The "joke" was posted in good faith and in the context of this "humor" section.
My 2 Daughters are "intelligent, caring and selfless blondes" and they found it quite amusing. One is a chef, the other a caring Mum to a 4 y/o blonde.
But I see your point of view.
I have deleted the post as I don't want to upset anyone and I apologise to anyone who was offended.

My daughter is blonde (or was before she started the silly hair coloring thing) and she likes blonde jokes. In her own words " The only blondes those jokes are about are those that are from a bottle'.
I debated on writing this as this is a humour section
My wife is blonde and I showed her the joke last night, she cracked up. She is extremely bright. The term political correctness is used to describe the avoidance of language or actions that are seen as excluding, marginalizing, or insulting groups of people who are seen as disadvantaged or discriminated against, especially groups defined by sex or race. I don't see blondes as a group being discriminated against. We have put political correctness above common sense. The politically correct line keeps getting moved every day with someone being overly sensitive to humour, language, looks etc. As long as these things are not directed at someone specificity, or hurtful to a group, Please start looking at it as a what it was intended, as a funny joke. Taking offence to that joke is a depressing thought. Soon with the line moving more and more, I think we may not be able to communicate with each other at all.
Having said that, this is my opinion and the well known member from Pittsburgh has the right to his.

I don't know, folks. But it seems to me that the humor section is getting to be a bit "off color" with all of these blonde jokes. Perhaps some of you might think before you click on the Post Reply button?

I thought long and hard about my post, humor comes in all forms. Just because it says blonde doesn't mean it can't be changed to something else.
Getting your panties all in a bunch over some harmless blonde jokes is plain silly (cue a Monty Python Sketch).
I've had the misfortune of being blonde all my life yet I find blonde jokes funny too.
I'm also 'northern', which in the UK can make you the butt of a lot of southerner's jokes, but I also find those very funny. In fact my girlfriend is southern, so you can probably imagine all the banter we share about our different accents, pronunciations, traditions and upbringing.
Offence is taken not given. I feel sorry for anyone who takes offence so easily that they're upset by jokes about minor things like their hair colour or accent. You would have to have had a pretty sheltered and shallow life to be bothered by such petty things. First world problems, eh!? ....
Still beating this up....I'm sure, we could find something offensive to someone, for almost every post. I find this section a great diversion. I do not believe anyone here is posting a joke, picture, etc with malicious intent. For those that are easily offended you have a choice to not come to this section. The only other alternative is that this thread closes. Your choice.
