There is a condition where dogs (cats too) will press their head against a wall. It can actually be a serious neurological or other issue. Don't know if this is similar, but you may want to mention it to your vet.My dog does that - without the eclipse - and stares at the ceiling too. Scares the cr@p out of my wife, she thinks it's ghosts!
Thanks but he doesn't press his head anywhere - just an occasional 100 yard stare, which made my vet laugh as his dog does the same.

Did you perhaps accidently slam the door shut one time as the cat was about to walk through?I will open the door and she will not even move. Its weird alright but she is getting old and has also developed a nervous twitch too.

I think that would make me somewhat apprehensive and twitchy too.
We have 2 cats - male & female. The male gravitates to my Mrs. most times and the female "claims me as hers!"Is that not funny as all get out???
