G1 is a contender (if T-mobile is strong in your area)
I made the switch to a G-1 from a Moto Q on Verizons network.
It is ironic that I swapped a crappy phone on as great network for a great phone on a crappy network.
I believed them when they said the network was great in my area and there was not a lot of problems in the beginning but here lately the service is deteriorating. They told me that they will be installing a cell tower antenna in 3 weeks. I hope it happens.
Anyway the phone is great and when I get a good signal the internet access and usability is amazing!
I use google apps and if I add a contact to my gmail account it shows up in my phone within 30 seconds. Google maps are integrated and really strong also.
I do wish I could have this phone on Verizon or sprint network.
