It is easy to collect 40+ tools for the USB flash drive. The challenge is keeping them up to date.

How do you (anyone) keep programs/utilities on your flash drive current?

I use Liberkey and then ketarin for everything else. Mainly keeping virus/malware programs up to date.

I use a Kanguru USB drive as it has a physical write protect switch - no worries about getting it infected with inserting it in an infected machine (as long as I remember to flip the switch to the "locked" position). I have my own list of tools and use Ketarin to keep them updated on a local hard drive, and then SyncBack Free to copy them to the USB drive.

+1 for the Kanguru USB drive. I never leave home without it, best flashdrive I've ever had. Mine is 8 GB, I have wrapped with masking tape the switch, makes it look ugly....hopefully never to be stolen, plus it will always be locked.
Thanks for the update programs.
