OK, a bit hyperbolic on the title... but Apple is cutting production on all 3 of their X models by 1/3 and "Apple shocked investors with surprisingly low demand numbers."
For the first time ever, Apple is ceasing the 3-times-per-year public disclosure of unit sales for its devices.
If we recall, iPhone 7 production was cut early in its life, iPhone 8's production was cut in half as well as the iPhone X - also cut in half from 40mil to 20mil units. Now, three more phones are getting cut due to poor sales.
I'm seeing a trend here. At the time of writing, these phones have been out for less than 55 days and it's right before the Christmas shopping season! Hmm.

Apple's iOS global market share for Q2 '18 is 11.9% globally, down from 14.1% Q1 '18.
The current low is higher than only two point in history, once in Q3 2016 and also when the iPhone was first released in 2009.
