Firstly Happy New Year to everyone

I thought it was about time that I started to learn Office 365 as I have customers who are going to require Business class email solutions this year.

I have successfully moved my business email account contact@mlcomputers.fr to Office 365. Email is syncing correctly on all devices together with calendars and I have imported 500+ contacts from my Apple iCloud account without any issues.

Everything is working fine!

I want to migrate around 20 email folders that are locally stored in my existing Outlook 2013 PST.

I have followed these instructions http://its.uiowa.edu/support/article/103948

However in Outlook 2013 when I then go to the folders I have created on the Office 365 exchange account I get the message in blue "click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange" When I click on this message the emails then appear. Is there a way to permanently see the messages rather than clicking this link each time?

Secondly I have configured my iPhone 6 using the Apple Mail app adding the accounts using the exchange option. Standard email displays fine and the 2 test folders I have migrated appear in the list but the emails within them are not displayed. There are only about 5 messages in each folder (file size is tiny) so I am guessing it cannot be a time delay due to large file size.

On my iPad air I have configured the same account using the Microsoft Outlook app. The emails appear in the 2 test folders when testing with this?

Am I going wrong somewhere?

And advice would be much appreciated (iPad Air and iPhone are both on IOS 9.2, and Outlook 2013 is running on Windows 7 Pro and is fully up to date)

Many thanks

Jason

When there is only a small amount of data to be transferred, I have always used the "drag and drop" method from the local PST, to the newly creatd OST. Never had any problems.

I also find that on some sub folders, on my iPhone, I have to refresh the subfolder. The iPhone has a tendancy to pull the inbox down, but not the contents of the sub folders.

In terms of larger migrations, I know that @YeOldeStonecat uses MigrationWiz.com

Hello Andy. Many thanks for your email. I did what you said and had the same issue, however I have now solved the problem on the iPhone. The emails were not displaying on the iPhone Mail App because they were older than one month. I changed the setting on Mail Days to Sync in the Exchange account settings on my phone to no limit and the messages then appeared OK. (The messages in some of the folders go back more than a year). Many thanks for your help :)

I still get the "Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange" in Outlook 2013 on my computer. Above it in Grey it says There are more items in this folder on the server. Is there a way to see the emails without having to click the blue link each time?

With Outlook in cached mode (which Outlook does by default with Outlook Anywhere/Outlook over http...which is how it has to work with Hosted Exchange....there is a slide bar settings for how much e-mail to download locally. Go to the Exchange account setup properties....right there you'll see the slide bar for a few months....to a year....to all.

Of course there are pros and cons for sliding all the way to the left or to the right...think about it...

Many thanks, in my case there is not much information in the folders so having the slider all the way to the right will be fine for me. I will definitely assess each customer as to what level they need.
