This seems to be how Microsloth is doing everything these days. Foist something terrible on everybody and then grudgingly reverse course when everybody screams. As opposed to surveys, user testing, ASKING...I don't understand what is so hard about that?
I'm no Apple fangirl but I no longer cringe when clients bail to Apple. Not that Apple is perfect either, but really...I get it.
I'm helping every retired client, internet browser, email user, FaceBOOBer to UPGRADE TO LINUX MINT. Once I place all the icon launchers on their desktop for the places they go, set them up with the Gmail, Thunderbird thing and BOOT them off AOL ....I don't get support calls for a LONG time. I get calls, Hey can you do me like you did Ms. So-in-so down the street.
