Top shelf technology. LOL!!! Saw this today at a site, was a shock seeing it NIB. I can clearly remember customer's at CompUSA asking about when it would come out. And when it did they flew out the door at $200 a pop. Over 20 years ago.

ya know, I got a pack of floppy disks, still factory sealed, I believe 10 pack. with a "life time warranty" (which should still be valid since the shrink wrap is still in tact) in my display cases for sale, brings up a lot of conversation starters!

I am fairly certain they were made before me too!!!

LOL!!! Been several years but the last time I had to use a 3.5 floppy I ran through 4-5 before I had one that would format and load the software. But I still have more as well as drives!

I helped do a POS refresh at a giant retail chain two years ago and the servers were being updated via floppy. Blew my mind. I don't know what those servers were being used for since I wasn't working on that part of the project, but it couldn't have been the POS terminals/scanners.

I still get asked on rare occasions to transfer the contents of floppy disks to CD/DVD
I've got several old desktops with floppy drives, but I use my Floppy/USB drive to do the job. :)

Still got a brand new Panasonic floppy Drive in it's sealed bag!

I can remember rushing out to buy one of those the moment they became available. 56K seemed so fast back in the day.

Had one like this for a couple of years, which seemed much more modern looking. Unlike the one you posted that looked like it had been modelled on the Stylophone.

I've still got the very first 56k modem I ever bought. (I've still got my 33.6k modem somewhere as well.)
Got this one 'cause it says "Turbo" on it. Got to be faster...'cause "Speed Does Matter!"....right? ;) :p

Oh...the euphoria when this baby fired up and those lights started blinking!

I remember when I first hooked mine up. Mind you I knew that the claims are inflated, in reality "up to" 56k. But I was pretty disappointed, was getting like 22-24k on W98 and OS 8. Then I discovered that the real Internet does run on *nix. Set it up on my Linux box and was getting 45k using the same DUN and websites.

Yes, and their teeth look like this... No thanks!:

Well of course you have to have the correct shape for the cap to fit!

I've seen plenty of "real men" opening them with their teeth!
You know the one's I'm referring to? The one's that live at the pub, regularly beat their wives/girlfriends drink the rent money......
