If you look closely at the photograph it seems that there's no physical damage at all. It's been very carefully dismantled and could probably be put back together very easily if the technician were at all competent.

The fact that they chose to order a new one instead is a clear indication that IT people are all lazy and overpaid, which we knew anyway,
