Not my favorite kind, but I am seeing it all over Facebook. I was going to post it there, but everyone else already did, so I didn't bother.

Except it was just a joke about Independence Day that took the p**s out of us Brits. Not a political message about how cr@p the War of Independence was.

Typical uninformative Thumbtack request. I have gotten to the point that if there is not good info like model OS version and close proximity to me I dont bother quoting and wasting $11 on them.

I'm pretty much doing the same thing. But only for business postings. Thumbtack has stopped charging for sending a qoute. Supposedly they now only charge when the customer contacts you.

True but it is over $10 now. Used to be a little over $3.
We all know it is hard to give an actual quote with out good info. After the second quote charge that went nowhere I started to get real picky. I also ask in the quote to call me instead of replying on Thumbtack now to try to circumvent thier system.
