I agree with sending it to Lenovo for repair -- out of warranty. Extending the warranty instead and then sending it in after 30 days is dishonest. I was surprised that ASUS will do out-of-warranty repair in Canada for just $85 CAD + parts. Toshibs's out-of-warranty repair service was also very kind, when they were still making laptops. It's worth getting a quote from Lenovo.I am thinking that she should just send it to Lenovo and have them fix it. She can reinstate her warranty for another 12 months for only $17.25, wait 30 days, then process a warranty claim.
They would fix the issues all for just $17.25.
