Question for you Stro: Can clients check the status of their repair using a restricted version of it? It would prevent a lot of clients calling asking if machines are ready. Just a thought.
Edit: pushing my luck here as well If you complete a job & say move it from status of WIP to finished, if a cell/mobile number is included text the customer to say it's finished?
It is a feature I have thought about before, but never implemented it because I think people would want more than just a yes or no, they want to know how it is coming, which with a online script, unless you update it every few hours, would not be very informative to the customer.
The sms text message thing would be very possible, problem is, you would also have to ask them what their carrier is everytime to know where to send it.
Congrats on the release. I'd also like to know what's involved with in the installation.
I also need to make add a variable for setting the sales tax rate. Does anyone have to charge taxes on services separate from sales tax?
manderso: Q1 - Definately possible, will add to todo list. Q2- Should be 3 links for restocking, editing the item, and adding it to current cart.
itmgr: It has a text box where you can type the name and address, I am working on a feature on the repair side that will appear next to the check out buttons that would create an invoice that pulls their info automatically.
I also haved it planned and in the database schema for sales/service tax per receipt, but will take time to implement. For now, 1 systemwide tax rate on goods only.
