Hey guys,
I normally don't involve myself in building machines unless it is for myself or for family but I got a call from someone who had all the parts and just needed someone to piece it together. How bad could it be?! I took the job..
it was for a high spec gaming rig, contains an Intel i7-5930K processor sitting on a Gigabyte x99 Gaming 5p E-ATX Board (LG2011-3) and a Corsair H100i Hydro Cooler
32GB of DDR4 HyperX fury
GeForce GTX Titan X graphics card

Symptoms: Computer will power on for about 5 seconds and will abruptly power off. No Beeps no POST no BIOS. the system automatically tries to fire itself up again about 3 seconds later only to shut down again (and continue forever unless unplugged/interrupted)
What i've Done: Tested the power supply and that is fine. Going back later today or tomorrow night to try taking all but one RAM chip out and so fourth continuing to attempt to boot with no components other than MoBo and CPU and adding chips one by one.. going to also try pulling CMOS battery (saw that as a suggestion for this board on another forum) and if anyone thinks it is worth a shot i saw a suggestion about the BIOS on these boards being bad from the factory and to DL the latest from MFG website and try to flash it.
having little hope in those solutions what else can anyone suggest. trying not to have to take the rig back to the office and or have to send parts back for RMA unless we absolutely have to.
any help is greatly appreciated!
Brian
