Yeah, murder 2 is a stretch... murder 3 is work, but possible... manslaughter is a no brainier.

This is the DA playing a game that gets the officers involved off the hook.

And considering the electorate has no control over the department... it seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. Fire every cop, form a new department and start over. This time, leave th Mayor in charge like he's supposed to be.

The people responsible should be punished, but there are plenty of good officers that don't deserved to be fired over this. The chief of police should take responsibility for their department. If the department is a sewer, then take out the bad ones and replace them.

Firing all the cops is like dissolving the federal government because you don't like Trump.

I think there should be a nationwide strike of cops where they take a week off to "honor" Floyd. Give the people a chance to see what things would be like without them. Nah, what am I saying? In 2 days half of the cities would be burned down by looters. Better just make it a day if they want to have anything left to police.

The people that think we don't need cops and that people will just be "nice" are delusional. Evil DOES exist. Just because you haven't personally encountered it doesn't mean it isn't out there just waiting for an opportunity to hurt or kill you. Yes, most people are civilized and aren't out to hurt anybody. But that 0.1% of people who are criminals are really freaking bad! Go to a prison sometime and see what the cops have protected you from.
