Windows Repair Toolbox

Strange, afaik and tested, all apps or programs inherit privileges from WRT. I wonder which tools you run actually don't inherit privileges.

That's correct. And WRT will always run as admin (there's no need to right-click and "Run as Administrator").

@Barcelona can you tell me what are the tools so that I can make some tests?

Hey guys, can you recommend me a tool to add to the "Repairs" section?

I need to remove "Chrome Cleanup Tool" because it has been discontinued as a standalone tool and integrated into Chrome:

Thanks.

pre-download programs?

Curious if I just missed it, I love using WRT, I downloaded it and stuck it on a USB stick. But everytime I use it, I have to download the programs, is there a way to just have it already downloaded, so when I got on a house-call and the customer has dial-up I can still use WRT?

Sure, go to the settings and click the "Update All" button. It will download all the tools at once so that you can later use WRT in an offline or slow connection computer. And in the next times you click that button, it will only download those tools that have newer versions available.

Hey @AlexCa WRT (Windows_Repair_Toolbox.exe) is still getting slammed by Emsisoft every time I try to open it.
Anyway to tell them to back off?

Keeps detecting it as a "Trojan.Behaviour"

Not REALLY a repair tool... I don't even know if it's a real "tool". but I'd love a small .ico library so when I create shortcuts on a customers desktop, I can have all my .icos right there to help the "derpy" customers a little more.

Currently, I just google image search my .icos, and it's a tad annoying. I may just end up building my own library.

But that's just something I'd find useful to have.

Nothing you like in Windows/system32/imageres.dll (@ edit - or shell32.dll)? There's usually enough there to keep me happy - heh.

Heh - @Barcelona beat me to it on shell32.dll while I was editing.......

and
or shell32.dll, moricons.dll
A lot of the shortcuts I make are to email, news websites, Craigslist, Facebook, Pictures folder, Documents folder.
I never bother with the .icos in windows, they make it bloody impossible to find through folder search, and I can't seem to memorize it...

and
seems like going to images.google.com and put "filetype:ico" then search for the icon I want is still easier.

Seems like clicking a shortcuts Properties - change icon (it defaults to Windows/system32 where the icon files are) is still easier but hey - what do I know.......... (Sorry - don't mean to be a bit of an ass this morning)

Hey guys,

I've just released version 3.0.0.3:

- In the "Repairs" section, replaced Chrome Cleanup Tool (that has been discontinued as a standalone tool and integrated into Chrome) with Account Profile Fixer. @Barcelona thank you for your tool suggestions! I've tried them but in the end decided to go with Account Profile Fixer.

- A label showing the information "Updating the tools... please wait" will now be shown when "Update All" button is clicked. Thanks to @glennd for pointing out the need of having something like this in place.

- Updated the 7-Zip components to version 18.05.

- Some other internal improvements and fixes.

Thank you.
