Fab's AutoBackup 6 Pro - a must have tool for techs

No way for mail passwords. MailPV does not work off line, so, that will not be added. Produkey is already supported. I am surprised that you have not seen it: it is in the "public data" tab.

What do you mean, "produkey will not work offline"?

Hi Fabrice (@fabs), have you looked at partnering with Passcape? I believe their Outlook Recovery tool works offline, but is a paid product. I would be happy to pay a higher price to incorporate more features into your backup program.

Also, it may have been asked before, but could Nirsofts wirelesskeyview be incorporated?

9.5 times out of 10 I am only working with a single profile... and usually I am logged into that account (i.e., not offline). So I would love this to be an option that autoselects. If you are in offline mode or you have multiple profiles, OK, toggle off.

I did not know about Passcape until today. I tried it against an offline profile and it did not grab any password from the outlook 2010 account. MailPassView looks like a better alternative.
Wireless Key View just works with current system drive in most cases. If dealing with a pulled Windows XP drive, according to the faq, it should work.

I have been asked for these tools for years now. I feel like I must do it now, no matters if the features do not work in half the cases

Thanks for trying. I've used it in the past with some success, so not sure why it didn't work for you? Wirelesskeyview helps speed things up. Even if it can't populate the ssids and passwords, a report would help.

I love your program and have been a user since version 3. it's saved me hours of work when transferring data between old and new computers. I rarely use on pulled drives and mainly use when a nèw Laptop/PC has been purchased.

Please!
There have been several times recently where I've wasted some time re-connecting an old system after a migration because I forgot to grab their outlook email password...

:)
I have started the integration.
Here is what I am adding now :
- MailPV
- Network password Recoverry
- Wireless Key View

Will this work for a customer who changed to win 10 and now can't go back to win 7 (more than a month has passed)? I plan to do a clean install of win 7 adding the profiles (2) from his current win 10 installation.

Never tried that exact migration, but don't see why it shouldn't work just fine.

Just purchased this software yesterday.

Brought a Dell Dimension 3000 into the shop with a P4, and 256MB of RAM. Looked at it and thought "WTF am I doing with my life?" Bought Fabs. Put Fabs on USB stick. Put USB stick into Dinosaur PC. Waited 10 minutes for USB stick to be recognized. Ran Fabs. Did meaningful activities for a few hours. Came back, removed USB stick. Put USB stick into replacement computer. Restored. Done.

Now am in process of hurling old PC into the ocean where it belongs.

I would have, but that would mean I'd have to dig out the IDE adapter that is... somewhere. Have not seen a ribbon cabled hard drive in quite some time!

Last one I saw was yesterday. Client wanted his data off a dead mobo'd machine.

Simplest way of doing it, was to install linux on an old 60gb sata drive from an old outdated machine i have in the shop, then use clients ide drive, transferred all data off.

Other than that, the last time, was when Noah was a lad.

Hi,
Fab's AutoBackup 6 and Fab's AutoBackup 6 Pro have just been updated. As it was asked for years and growing popular demand, support for several third party tools from NirSoft (Network Password Recovery, Mail Pass View et Wireless Network Key View) has been added. Just be aware that these tools will not work when using them against pulled hard drives, unbootable systems or other user profiles than the current one running Fab's AutoBackup. These tools have not been integrated until today because of these reasons. They are now for tech people who know what they are doing. No technical support for this will be provided.

Windows 10 1511 (build 10586) is supported.

Change log for V6.3.0.26396 Pro:

Added :
- Improved software listing with computer name, operating system, service pack version and report date.
- Duplicating the source user name in the create new user box when doing transfers form pulled drives. This can prevent misspellings when creating the new user account.
- The log now says when a file is skipped, renamed or overwritten while copying files.
- Nirsoft Network Password Recovery support to get stored network credentials only for the current logged in user. This will not work in any other case.
- Nirsoft Mail Pass View support to get email clients passwords only for the current logged in user. This will not work in any other case.
- Nirsoft Wireless Key View support to get stored wireless networks keys for the current running operating system. This will not work in any other case.

Fixed :
- Preventing "next" button from being enabled when trying to transfer data if both source and target user names are the same with current system drive as source.
