I didn't get started in computers until I was 40 years old. Windows 95 was the new thing lol. I was amazed by the incredible technology such as the floppy disk....2 gb hdd.....my first eMachine (it lasted a couple weeks) then they sent me a used one with a non-functioning floppy drive. AOL 3.0....which I couldn't stay connect to because my newest eMachine had 128 MB of RAM. Those were the days :)

If you want to know how bad linkedin is going to be now that Microsoft bought them, you just have to look at how they plan on forcing I mean getting people to join the site.

Some of the better jokes about how they will use it suggest they are buying linkedin soley for the experts that design all the evil dark ui patterns in another attempt to trick more users into upgrading to windows 10. Also they plan to monitor your career and notify you that you have been at the same job for 3 years without any changes, so they are automatically sending out 40 applications for you. Much like a forced windows 10 upgrade they think a new job will be better for you.

My Client said my price for a computer was too much and did so much better buying one on his own. He paid 567.00 instead of the 700/800 I recommended for his business.

He bought this:

This is his "Great deal" on a computer. lol
Why is it in your shop?

Isn't there some sort of HP warranty on the unit?

If so then why doesn't he call them instead of you?

That's what I tell people to do when they don't buy equipment from us - call or take it back to where you got it and let them deal with it.

That's a lightweight "toy" in disguise..

Why I am servicing it is because I am selling him a new computer and I will make money on it. After seeing the remarkable inside of it he concluded that it was not something he should have bought or even use. Besides, Why turn it in for warranty? It will be gone as BB will send it to HP for repair and it could take what? A month? If BB is going to fix it then do you really want them to touch it? Then the data on the drive will be gone too as they will probably reset the OS. Now, Six months later he can have the same exact experience again. Just replace it with a real computer and earn money by doing it.

Just for fun, what are the specs on that beauty?
Does it have an external power supply?
I've seen a bunch of those. People think it's a bargain because it's a big sexy desktop computer for a really cheap price. When I open the case and show them mainly fresh air they kind of go quiet...

Edit: Yes, external laptop power supply.

So what does $567 get you? Processor, ram, hard drive?
For comparison, the lowest Mac Mini, with 1.4GHz dual-core I5, 4GB memory, 500GB hard drive, but no keyboard or mouse, goes for $499. But with 4 GB, it won't be happy.

Hilarious. I had a client buy one of those pieces of junk. You can't even add cards...there's no slots to do so.

AMD A8 processor / 8 gigs ram (1 stick) / Radeon RS video / 1 TB WD blue drive.

Mounted in the front is a Laptop DVD drive and a Multi size memstick face plate.

The power supply is basically a laptop power supply.

Lets add more to this : Customer just dropped off their Brother inkjet printer too. I sold it to them about a year ago. They are complaining that the black does not print anymore. They exclaimed to me "We hardly ever used it and now its broke". lol... I tried to sell them a laser / toner printer but they didnt want to spend the money once again.
