For comparison, the lowest Mac Mini, with 1.4GHz dual-core I5, 4GB memory, 500GB hard drive, but no keyboard or mouse, goes for $499. But with 4 GB, it won't be happy.

No, It came with a 22 inch monitor. So, They paid 567 for a monitor

I remember the first time I got one of those desktops in that uses an external laptop power supply and just staring at the back of it wondering where the power supply was. I never knew HP was selling such crap. It is like putting a hamster wheel in a shiny case and marking it up 500%

Good thing this is in the humor section. HP continues to be amusing. These low end laptops in a case that they seem to sell by the pound make it hard to take them seriously, even for their decent enterprise stuff. I just avoid them altogether.

My Client said my price for a computer was too much and did so much better buying one on his own. He paid 567.00 instead of the 700/800 I recommended for his business.

The ONLY thing worse than this..... is the junky Asus laptop I got a while back from a customer. The RAM was soldered in and was non-replaceable/upgradable!!! Unbelievable!

We had one of those and the RAM was defective. We had to swap out the motherboard.

Same issue, but wasn't cost effective to replace the motherboard.

Several years ago there was a Best Buy located just west of the store I'm in now (N-W side of Indianapolis) and another shop located on the N-E corner of the city up in the Castleton area. The shop in Castleton put up a giant billboard just outside the Best But that read something like "Are you sure you're getting the best buy?" And it referred to their repair shop in the Castleton area. I always thought that was funny and still do.

Well yeah, it was a Geek Squad build. They do auto building and repair now...$2300 for an oil change, brakes are extra if you want those back.
