While we're on the subject of wacky car mods, another YouTube clip that springs to mind, from a couple of years ago, is this Latvian and his wood-powered car. I can't decide if he's crazy or a genius. I guess there's a fine line ...

I know exactly what you mean but I think genius is winning overall!

Went to Menards (a store like Home Depot ) the other day to buy a 6 foot workbench that was on sale for 49.00 . What a deal!
- Solid wood.
- Very sturdy.
- "Easy to assemble, No cutting needed".

Just needed something to put my printer, computer, and HTR on. Probably some other things. Any ways, Got it home and unboxed it and this is what I got.

Just a bunch of *uckin assorted wood and a box of screws. :(

I think you may be right. There's so much media-overload these days, it's becoming difficult to remember what was online, on TV or in real life!

Didn't they turn a few old cars into some kind of makeshift motorhomes in one episode? I seem to recall something James May created, complete with ornaments, fireplace, etc being driven to destruction by one of the other two muppets.

The one I'm thinking of, if I remember correctly, they "made" limo's. Jame's had the stove, mirrors, etc. There one where they "made" motor home Jame's stuck what looked like a large aircraft pod on top and made that his sleep space. Hammster made one with a bunch of flimsy panels which he put together to make a "grand" place. That one caught on fire... LOL. Same episode Jeremy stuck a two story tower on the back of a pickup. At the end, while Jeremy was enjoying an icecream, the other pushed it to close to a cliff. By accident I'm sure.

The fun in the Merc starts about 5:50 ...

Yes!! But I could have sworn it was Jame's design. Completely forgot about the flagstone floors. That thing ran like geriatric snail. LOL!!!

Good thing you've brushed up on your carpentry skills!

Home Depot has a pre-assembled wood bench that literally just folds out and is ready to go. Sells for $75 regular price, can probably get it on sale tomorrow or over the holiday sales. Seems like a good deal considering its easy to pack up and move, and the example bench at my local store seemed pretty sturdy.

I think I accidently posted this in the middle of an ongoing discussion. Sorry about that!

Can one person get this into a 4 door car?

I didn't try lifting one of the boxes, but it seemed like it would be pretty heavy. Usually you can just ask one of the staff to help you put it in your trunk. Its 72" long though, so you'll need to have it sticking out the trunk and use a bungee cord to keep the trunk lid down. Manuvering it to your workspace would be the tricky part.
