In addition to my business I'm involved with another tech's business. No shop so he wants the phones to always be answered, thus an answering service. This request is a new one for us. LOL!!!
Which I will never, ever understand. When I get answering services I virtually always suspect that something is going to be lost because they don't want to take incredibly detailed messages.
Just making a point on your voicemail that if you leave a message, you will receive a return call within {time period you choose here}, is way more comforting to me, and I can leave the level of detail necessary.
I've even called back those who ask about services (sometimes computer related, other times electronics) that I don't provide. That's a part of good customer service, too. You never ignore any voicemail except that which is clearly spam.
