Windows Repair Toolbox

Thanks! Not worried about my cpu temp just noticed the error and thought I'd pass it on. I used the tool at a clients today and it did the same thing on an old HP with a x4 965. in that case after closing the error the temp was read ok.

Thank you, i'm glad you're enjoying. And thanks for reporting. The program is not currently able to read the temperature for Skylake cpu's. Give it a go with HwMonitor or with HWinfo (in the "Tools" tab > "Hardware" groupbox).

@Go-To Gordon , i've sent you a PM.
Maybe you can help me out by testing a new version of WRT in your skylake i7 build. Thanks

Released Version 1.5.0.3:

- Fixed: When the latest version of Snappy Driver Installer (R496) was executed through WRT, it couldn’t load new themes or languages. There’s was also one file from SDI that couldn’t be deleted using the “Clear Downloads” button from WRT.

Thanks to @BadPointer for helping troubleshooting.

Hi everyone,

i'm making a few changes in WRT website and it will be under maintenance probably for the rest of the weekend. Anyway the program is still available for download directly from the maintenance page.

Just two notes:
- Ccleaner download will not work meanwhile;
- Vipre Rescue download is not working at the moment (this is not related with the maintenance that i'm doing or with WRT, is just that lately that program is frequently unavailable from Vipre servers).

Thank you

Hi all, the website is now back online. There's a new version of the program (version 1.5.0.4 - updated internal links in order to reflect the changes in the location of the program files ) with updated definitions available. Thanks.

Avast blocked the download...installer and portable...Drep infection.
Sure it's false alarm, just letting you know

@dannyict, thanks for reporting. I've just tried it in a VM and i'm not getting that detection, maybe it's already fixed. What i'm getting is that the normal version is blocked, after installed and when trying to run it, with a message informing that the file might be dangerous and that it will be submitted to Avast to further analysis, i guess i'll just have to wait. There's an option to allow the file. No problems with the portable version.

This is awesome. We are currently using a tool like it from Malwarebyte that they are currently beta testing. Very nice. I love the notes section - I assume that leaves a .txt file with the notes on the system to be pulled. Just downloaded it and will try it out. Thank you!

I am definitely going to check it out. I'm an amateur programmer myself. Built a few such tools, though this looks a little more elaborate than what I normally do. Maybe it will inspire me to start coding again. I need that elusive project which is useful, but within my abilities to get me into it enough to keep at it.

Hi all,

I've just released version 1.5.0.5:

- Emailing the unattended fix log is now much easier (there's no longer the need to configure a Gmail account).

Thanks!

Hi all, I've just released version 1.7.0.0:

- The portable version of Windows Repair Toolbox is now distributed as a .zip file. It runs directly from an external media (e.g., a pendrive) and the downloads will also run and be stored in the external media.

- Branding: you can now change the program icon and title bar text.

- Updated the 7-Zip components to version 16.04.

- In the "Final Tests" tab, the "Drivers" button will now also give the chance to disable Windows automatic drivers updates (Windows 7 and higher).

- In the "Malware Removal" tab, replaced Hitman Pro with Zemana Antimalware portable.

- Added a "refresh" button in the custom tools tab.

- Windows Repair Toolbox used to always require a fresh download regarding any of the malware removal tools, ignoring any previously downloaded file. That no longer happens, and the behavior is now the same as in the other tools (give the option to download a new copy, or run the previously downloaded file).

- Several minor improvements and fixes.

As always, any questions, suggestions or bug reports, please let me know.

Thank you!

When running Roguekiller & Zemana at the same time (rush job, normally run individually) RK flags up C:\Windows_Repair_Toolbox\Downloads\Malware Removal\Zemana.Antimalware.Portable.exe. Just a heads up.

Thank you wavey, i've tested it and RK is detecting Zemana's process. I've just reported the false positive to RogueKiller support.
